Kuala Kubu Bharu
Kuala Kubu Bharu in Selangor, Malaysia, is a township where it
looks as if time has come to a standstill. It served as a fort during
the Selangor civil war from 1867 to 1874, but is better known for
the tragedy during which the Kuala Kubu dam burst open and
flooded the town, affecting its tin mining activities and killing 33
people.
It is the last township before the Sungai Selangor Dam and the
famous hill resort Fraser’s Hill.
